There are only a few sins that a cleric of my rank cannot intervene on someone's behalf with God for, the others you must seek the Pope himself. God forgives many sins in his Love.

God is the forgiver in all worlds, he is the one true God. The Pope is his vessel on my world, his living avatar and presence, the singular man ordained to interpret God's will best he can for the rest of us. He is the Holy Father of us, messenger for the Heavenly Father.

Some would say the devil is more subtle than that, and in his wickedness chooses many vessels unknown and unrecognized by those but His true followers.

If someone truly has a literal devil inside them, it should be exorcised by a professional in the Church. Such a thing is not the individual's fault and needs no forgiveness.

If you are speaking metaphorically, we should all work on our inner demons and attempt to become better people, become truly repentant, and indeed would deserve forgiveness with enough work and if we truly change our ways..

If... that soul is truly repentant. Maybe you are more reluctant than you will admit, to let God into your heart.
